Hello PriDis*!

I will keep this post concise so that you can use this on the go 🙂
Charles de Gaulle (CDG) is the main international airport in Paris, France. Make sure you keep this guide handy to get to the city without hassle!

Who this guide is for: Complete newbies to Paris who needs a step-by-step guide to not get lost!

Basic information

Transportation mode: Train
Fare: ~11 EUR
RER B stations in Paris: Paris-Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame, Luxembourg, Palais-Royal, Denfert-Rochereau

What should I do to get to Paris?

1. From CDG baggage check carousels, go to Terminal 2 TGV station. From Terminals 1 and 3, take the automated train line to Terminal 3 in the lower floor.

2. Go to the Customer Service booth in the TGV station and purchase an RER B train ticket to your desired station in Paris. Mine was to Nation and it cost me 11 EUR.

Tip: You can also purchase your Navigo Easy card here (2 EUR) & fill the card with the amount of trips you need (I recommend 10 trips ~16.90 EUR). If you will be riding the Metro/bus for more than 5 times each day & you need to travel within the zones 1-3, then purchase the Navigo Jour! More info here for prices and here for the zone map.

Basically, the zones in Paris are 1-3, and zones 4-5 are to visit the outlet mall La Vallée Village, Versailles, Charles de Gaulle airport, and Disneyland.

3. Insert your ticket into the slot at the gate (don’t forget to take it back!)

4. Find the train RER B to Paris by following the sign for “RER B Gare du Nord“.
5. Transfer to another Metro / RER train as necessary!
6. To get out of the Metro station, find the sign “Sortie” and the name of the exit that you want to get out of below that. Use your Google Maps (or the OTHER, better app) to find your specific exit!
7. Et voilà! You are in Paris, enjoy your time!

Hope that helps! Feel free to comment if there are any confusion.
